My Story

We're taking part in the Break the Cycle Virtual Challenge with Social Bite and Sir Chris Hoy.

By taking part, we'll be Breaking The Cycle of homelessness by raising £1million to help build two new Social Bite Villages in two new cities in the UK. The key target cities are Glasgow and London.

Unfortunately, the current approach to homelessness in the UK does not work.
The Village is an innovative, community-based accommodation project that is designed to help people build a better life. The environment helps to equip them with the skills they need to be able to sustain their own, long-term tenancies, secure stable employment, and re-join the society that they have been excluded from.

Primary 6/7 will be matching Chris Hoy's 60 mile cycle by running the equivalence of 60 laps of the school across a week and we will also be hosting a 60 minute football match.

So far, we have started our training and have begun to complete risk assessments for our events as well as requesting the help of Mr Mearns, Mr Kay and Mr Peterkin - who have all confirmed they will play vital roles with the football match!

Our events will take place on the week beginning 10th May and our football match will be held on Friday 21st May at 1pm.

Thank you for supporting us on this journey!
